后厂村体工队更博写道：“据我们了解到的消息，为了促成此次新疆广汇回归CBA，各方都做出了一定的让步。至于大家关心的周琦的归属问题，据我们了解到的情况，新疆和周琦都知道双方的矛盾难以弥合，周琦也很难接受继续为新疆队打球。但双方对彼此的态度，已经从之前绝不合作的对抗状态，逐渐一点点开始向积极的方向转变。”
